Bay College Hosts Free Holiday Concert and Opportunities to Give!
Join Bay College, the Escanaba City Band, and Bay Student Clubs for an evening of joy and charitable giving on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:30pm ET in the Besse Theater, Escanaba Campus. 

The Escanaba City Band will perform a full-length Christmas concert and several Bay College Student Clubs will be collecting donations whether monetary or “in need” items for various local causes. Doors will open at 7pm ET. 

The community can show their support by making a monetary donation or bringing an item deemed “in need” by the organization itself. 
Donations are welcomed, however are not required to attend the concert.

Bay College is proud to have the following Bay Student Clubs and participating Bay Staff who have initiated charitable efforts on campus this holiday season. 
Charitable giving causes include:
- Bay College Student Scholarships and Assistance Funds, coordinated by the Bay College Foundation Office. Donating to the Bay College Foundation helps remove financial barriers to student success like food insecurities and enhance learning environments. - Operation Christmas Smile, supported by the Student Nurses Association and EMT/Paramedic Club as part of their holiday service project. Operation Christmas Smile is sponsoring a family of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). - Items for Veterans at the D.J. Jacobetti Center in Marquette, MI and the Delta County Animal Shelter, also supported by the Student Nurses Association and EMT/Paramedic Club. Items have yet to be requested. Please check back for details or contact amy.anderson@baycollege.edu.
- Warm Coats for Warm Hearts, supported by the Business Professionals of America Association and Lake Superior State University students. Collecting gently used or new coats and winter gear like hats, gloves, and snow pants. Donations will be given to the Tri-County Safe Harbor, Salvation Army, Sandhill Low Income Housing and the Child Advocacy Center. Unable to attend the concert? Collection Boxes will also be located off-campus from November 21st thru December 5th at: Culver’s, Ashley Furniture – Escanaba, Pat’s IGA – Gladstone, and Elmer’s County Market – Escanaba. - Holiday Drive with the Salvation Army, coordinated by Bay Staff. Monetary donations to assist in the purchase of or the collection of gifts for teens are being accepted. Collection sites off-campus are also happening throughout the community for various causes such as: New Coats for Children, Christmas Drive, Red Kettle Campaign, TV-6 Can-a-thon.

Kruisin' Klassics

As June approaches, the classic cars cruise into the Bays for the Kruisin’ Klassics Car Show and Swap Meet at the U.P. State Fair Grounds. Peruse the vehicles on display, see who wins best in show awards, test your own speed in a fun run and stick around for the grand finale — a parade!

Fayette Heritage Days

This August event at Fayette Historic State Park and Townsite celebrates the “hey-day” of Fayette as a bustling iron smelting town. Activities include period displays, food, music and a historic baseball game —1860’s style. And you will be invited to play! 

U.P. State Fair 

Since 1928, the Upper Peninsula State Fair has delighted folks from all over as they experience and celebrate the unique culture of Michigan’s U.P. It’s seven days of thrilling rides, enthralling grandstand shows and lots of blue ribbon fun. 

Yooper Fest

Celebrating Yoopers! Each September, join others on Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba as they visit vendors, play games, eat delicious food and enjoy live music and more.
